About Without Walls Ministry
A representation of a sampling of services provided in the past and currently by Without Walls Ministry:
• A 14 year track record of meeting needs and teaching self- reliance
• Distribution of an average of 2,000 lbs of food per week
• Mentoring of children in 10 adopted inner city neighborhoods
• Teaching organic gardening to adults and children in adopted neighborhoods
• Setting up critically needed outreach and support groups in adopted neighborhoods
• Facilitating a one year faith-based residential program for men with life-controlling problems
• Free breakfasts, showers, clothing, use of laundry facilities, bill payment, referrals and more weekly events that provide free medical and dental care and screenings, haircuts, job fairs, and community services
• Organization and implementation of the annual Convoy of Hope – the second largest annual one-day event in Charleston – where we feed, clothe, offer medical assistance, haircuts, job fair, etc., with 10,000+ participants and 200+ volunteers.
• 500 bags of school supplies and 500 school uniforms yearly
• 500 annual Thanksgiving meals
• 1,000 annual Christmas Day meals
The largest Christmas Day party in the Lowcountry serving 4,000 people.
• Recovery programs such as NA (Narcotics Anonymous, a 12-step recovery program) and Celebrate Recovery (faith-based 12-step recovery program).
